John McLaughlin is a highly experienced human capital management analyst with over 25 years of experience in human resources technology, human resources analytics, total compensation, organization performance and general human resources. He has held leadership roles with Silgan Manufacturing, Cheesecake Factory, Intuit, Guitar Center, Cedars Sinai Health System, Saint John’s Health Center and Los Angeles County. John is also a senior consultant with Solutions Beacon Consulting and People ROA Consulting.
John has assisted numerous organizations select, implement and utilize the power of technology to facilitate measurement of human resources and organization performance. His focus has been on the measurement of human resources and organization performance and their relationship to each other. By connecting these two domains his aim is to bridge the gap between an organization’s business outcomes and human capital management. His approach describes how organizations can improve results by identifying and measuring their KPIs, the organizational competencies required to achieve those KPIs and by activating the relevant Human Capital Management programs to create or improve those competencies.
John remains on the forefront of human resources systems development and holds the newest certifications in the field. He was awarded the Human Resources Information Professional, HRIP in 2010, from the International Human Resources Information Management (IHRIM) and has also achieved certification in Compensation (CCP), Benefits (CEBS) and Human Resources (SPHR). John is a graduate of UCLA and holds a Masters in Industrial Psychology from the California State University at Los Angles. He has taught at LA Community Colleges and given presentations at IHRIM conferences.
